Interested in trying us out?
Join us for our Summer Sampler!

Our Summer Sampler program gives a great foundation for a long dance career. It runs from July into August, culminating with your child dancing on the very same stages that many of your favorite musicians use on the Summerfest grounds.
Classes are Thursday nights from 5-6pm at the Wauwatosa studio on the following dates:
July 13, 20, 27
August 3, 10
The cost is $90 per student, and includes five weeks of instruction by a certified teacher, your own Cashel Academy T-shirt and a school performance at Irishfest!

What does my dancer need?
Cashel Academy knows a new activity can be a large investment, so we strive to make things as easy as possible. We ask that your dancer wears clothes that show the knee and are easy to move around in, and we do also ask that you acquire some Irish Dance Shoes called “ghillies” and some poodle socks.
We will have a used sock and shoe sale during one of the early classes so you will have a chance to purchase socks and a second, third, or fourth hand pair of shoes (little ones don’t tend to wear them out, so you can get a surprising amount of life from them, saving a large amount while trying out a new favorite activity)
From there we ask that you come to class as much as possible, and for Irishfest we will provide a blue Cashel Academy T-shirt, so all you need are poodle socks, ghillies and a black pair of shorts.

What happens after Irishfest?

Irishfest is the end of our dance year.
Following Irishfest, everyone gets a bit of time off before September classes start up. You can sign up to continue as a “Beginner” dancer. Your dancer will have once a week classes again, and start to learn more dances.
Once your dancer has a good understanding of the moves, it’s time to compete.
Competitions are optional, but are a great way to move up levels and earn the right to wear the fancy costumes. We call these Feiseanna, or Feis (F-esh) for a single one.
When it comes time, we have an army of parents who love to help getting kids ready.
The different levels of dancers we teach are
