Rhapsody in Blue is one of Cashel Dennehy’s most amazing events of the entire year. It’s a whole day of fun with an amazing raffle and silent auction, refreshments, a knock-your-socks off performance and much more!
This year’s Rhapsody in Blue will be held Pius XI High School (135 N. 76th St – just south of the corner of Bluemound Rd. and 76th St. in Milwaukee), on Saturday, May 4th. There will once again be two performances – a 2:00 p.m. show and a 7:00 p.m. show.

Nine soloists from Cashel Dennehy School of Irish Dance are heading to Killarney next week for the 2018 All-Ireland Championships. The February 11 – 17th competition showcases the very best dancers of all ages from all regions. We wish Aisling, Meg, Rachel, Caitlin, Anna, Samantha, Keara, Caitlin and Norah the very best of luck! Close to 100 Irish dancers from Cashel Dennehy School of Irish Dance made the trip to Chicago for 2017 Mid-America Oireachtas, a regional dance competition. The November 24-26 event was a world qualifier for the 2018 World Irish Dance Championships in Glasgow, Scotland next March.
To compete at the 2017 Mid-America Oireachtas, dancers had to qualify at previous competitions in the last 12 months. Dancers are competing as both soloists and ceili team members.
“We are so proud of all of our dancers and these students have worked incredibly hard to be ready to compete at this high level,” said Laura Gottschlich, DO, TCRG. “Be it a first time soloist or a seasoned team member, we are excited to see our Irish dancers shine on the big stage later this week.”

Cashel Dennehy School of Irish Dance will be sending twenty-two solo dancers and two eight-person ceili teams to New Orleans this week for 2017 North American Irish Dance Championships (NAIDC). To compete at the 2017 NAIDC, dancers had to qualify at 2016 regional competition or be classified in the highest level of competitive dance.

The Cashel Dennehy School of Irish Dance will be sending nine solo dancers and two eight-person ceili teams to the 2017 World Irish Dancing Championships in Dublin, Ireland April 9-16.
This is the premier event for Irish dancing, with dancers gathering from around the globe to compete. Dancers qualified to dance at Worlds at either the North American Irish Dancing Championships in July of 2016 in Orlando or at the Mid-America Oireachtas in November of 2016 in Chicago.
“We are excited to send these hard working and excited dancers to Ireland to represent our school and to compete on the biggest stage in Irish dancing: the World Championships,” said teacher Laura Gottschlich, TCRG. “All of our dancers show amazing dedication and we are incredibly proud of all of them.”
